Trip to Ryde Isle of Wight in September 2013

The weather was truly frightful - but we set off intrepid as ever  

 

This is me, smiling, just about to head out on a very bumpy hovercraft ride across the Solent to Ryde

 

Whilst there I visited Ryde cemetery but wasn't able to find my relatives graves - I need to go back to visit the Roman Catholic cemetery on another visit

 

 

But it was all worth while when I turned the corner on the way out of the cemetery and saw this amazing gothic house.

 It was tiring, I was sore and couldn't walk as much as I would have liked but did love the charity shops and found some needlework stash including an old book on Dorset feather stitchery in a second hand book store.
