Stitching updates after the January Create-a-thon

Started this post last night and then got way distracted by something i can't remember now... Anyway this is my Linen & Threads Mystery Sampler SAL after the Cross Stitch Crazy Create-a-thon - the first band is about two-thirds complete

This is the Linen and Threads Mystery Sampler - i'm stitching on a 32ct Graziano linen in a beautiful poppy red with DMC 310

Part 1 of Sublime Stitches is finished!

And it's beautiful. I love it so far, and can't wait for Part 2 on 1st February.

It's so pretty so far - I really like it and the Coloris threads from DMC are beautiful.

Today i added on some 2mm green silk ribbon from House of Embroidery using split stitch

How long can she keep it up for, I hear you ask... well let's see...

Day 2 of A Year In Stitches and I've taken a wider shot to show a bit more of the piece of fabric I am working on.

And here is my progress on part 1 of Sublime Stitches by Elizabeth Almond. I am using DMC 915 for the blackwork, a silver DMC metallic and white perle cotton #12 as well as 6 different Coloris threads.

Two new starts

Well once again i've been a blog slacker :( but I've started some new craft projects so thought i'd share them with the world - if anyone is out there?

So this is my start of sublime stitches by Elizabeth Almond of Blackwork Journey - a new adventure for me as i've done very little blackwork and pulled threadwork and there is plenty in this piece

And this is my start on A Year In Stitches 2017 - again a departure from my normal needlework and something i've never done before. Freestyle hand embroidery - I chose a beautiful piece of chintz fabric i had in my stash that came from a sample book I was given years ago, I plan to colour in and generally doodle on it and see what happens.
