Interesting new stash purchases

Two really cute books I was sent as a RAK from Michiko in Japan - I love them both!

And this one isn't for me - I bought it to pay forward my RAK to another stitcher - so it is off to Kerstin in Germany this week

Round up of a few recent finishes!

Believe it or not I have actually finished some pieces - none of them huge. Three of them were starts from Stitch Maynia - where I managed 9 starts.

This was one of those annoying free kits that comes with a crafty magazine - hated the aida fabric and ran out of the purple thread. Not sure what I'm going to do with it but I'm sure I'll figure something out. I originally picked up the magazine because I was away from home and had nothing to stitch and got itchy fingers!

I have no idea where this came from but I have loved this saying for ages. This may be finished and made into a present for someone I know who likes Star Wars.

This one I am going to frame for my son as his job involves a lot of testing. The design at the top is a Companion Cube from Portal which he recognized straight away.

And this is a freebie from Skull-A-Day and I stitched on 28ct red evenweave. Love the gothic look of this finish.

Graduation Celebration Dinner @ The Last Tuesday Society

Cat organized a Graduation Dinner at the Last Tuesday Society around the sarcophagus table - a tight squeeze for 10 and take away pizza - it was a fun evening. This is a very strange museum/cocktail bar/event space full of the eclectic collection of Viktor Wynd.
